The Worship Ministry at Meadows

Have you ever entered a room and thought to yourself. Ahhh... this is a great place to just sit back and worship God with all my heart. Our heartbeat is to be just that place. Our eight piece band plays in the 10:45 am Celebration service with a heart that pushes every earthly limit possible to see a little more of the glory of our King - to praise Him with our best. In the 8:00am Classic service, our orchestra and praise teams rejoice in God's goodness with the favorites of the past.

Our songs of worship are chosen because they easily help us celebrate the majesty of our King and draw near to the presence of Him who sits on the throne. "The LORD reigns, let the nations tremble; He sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake... exalt the LORD our God and worship at His footstool, He is holy." Ps. 99:1,3 We sing many of the songs you have grown to love from local Christian radio. And several of our songs, I have written out of the overflow of what our pastor teaches and what is going on in the heart of Meadows.

We are a worship ministry captivated by the joy of worshiping Christ and helping the nations who have no song. Over the past few years we have been able to go into some difficult nations and work with them to create "heart worship". That is to say, using their culture, language and music style to glorify the name of Christ. Just last year, a man who had heard the gospel many times before, heard true "heart worship" that we had developed. He said, "your God does care about the (sorry, this nation is closed and must remain unnamed)... people. But, now He gives us songs to worship Him." And he cried out to God for salvation.

When you come to Meadows, come with a Psalm 96 heart: "Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD , all the earth... Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples."

Special Choirs

Chapel Choir

Chapel Choir is the Classic Worship choir for the 8 am service. Members prepare both classic hymns and traditional/modern pieces for the worship service. Membership is open to ages 18 and up. Rehearsals are on Sundays from 4 to 5 pm in the Sr. Adult classroom. Barbara Cason conducts this choir.

Heart Song Choir

Heart Song choir is our senior adult choir. We meet the first Thursday of each month for lunch at 11 am at the church. After great food we have great fellowship around the piano and sing all of the favorite hymns of the past. If you can't make it for lunch, we meet in the auditorium at 1:30pm.
