Prayer Garden

Meadows Baptist Church is a masterpiece work of God. Twenty-one charter members launched this vision of a church after God's own heart in 1963. The great adventure of partnering with God to spread the gospel and grow disciples of Jesus Christ has taken us from the home of Leonard Young, to a leased store-front property, to the 14th street building, and now to our spacious twenty-seven acre promised land here on Los Rios just across from the largest high school in America. The location has changed but not the vision! God is still at work and so are we.
  
The construction of our 1,100 square foot Prayer Garden is all about celebrating the grace and glory of God. By purchasing the memorial bricks that will pave the Prayer Garden, we accomplish three things of eternal significance:(1) we grow rich in stewardship toward God and thus store up treasure in heaven; (2) we glorify God by commemorating his blessings poured out upon our lives; and (3) we aggressively pay down the principal on our building loan so that we may continue to expand and grow as we minister to a new generation of people who need Jesus! I believe the ancient blessing that Isaac spoke over Jacob has been given to Meadows that says, "May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your numbers until you become a community of peoples" (Genesis 28:3).
